Life, Love, and Dirty Diapers

Merry Christmas!

I was going to do a regular post today since my husband is at work, but this morning, I just feel like wishing everyone a Merry Christmas! It’s Christmas Eve today and I hope that everyone reading this is going to have a very, merry Christmas and be able to spend time with the people they love and that you are able to remember the reason for the season.

Merry Christmas everyone! I’ll be back after Christmas with some content for you again.

I Am a Feminist: Guest Post

Hey everyone,
Sorry it’s been a while since you heard from me – summer has been keeping me busy! But I’m getting it under control and I’ll be back soon I promise. Meanwhile, while you’re waiting for me, check out this guest post on why I consider myself a feminist and a Christian.

Real Men . . .

Shouldn’t make lame PSAs like these. Watch a few and let me know if you even can tell me what they are for.

Are you getting the idea that once you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all?

Did you guess child sex slavery? Because it wasn’t very clear. Child sex slavery is a serious problem and they seem to be making a mockery of it. Based on these videos alone, I probably wouldn’t even check out their website.

On the flip side, let’s look at some good PSAs about child sex slavery.

(I couldn’t pick just three!)

Do you see the difference? The first set of PSAs almost seem like their mocking the plight of children who are trafficked. Whereas the second set? They present you with the cold hard facts about child trafficking (which can be into the sex trade which is most well known or into labor, which is bad but not as often thought about). They aren’t pretty or funny, but they’re there and they’re shocking (to me anyways). Some of the facts may be a bit different in these three videos (it depends on what area you’re looking at – one I know was focusing on a specific city) but their numbers are hard to define in general because these girls are off the radar. I hope they get you to think more about this serious issue (which I’m sure I will write more about at some point).
