Make a Beeline to These Sweet Treats

on August 14, 2012

One of the things I decided I wanted to do when I revamped this blog was that I wanted to promote ways for people to do good and help other people. There are so many neat organizations, causes, products, etc that all do good but often they’re not connected to the people who want to do good because there are just so many out there. I’m a fan of things like this so one thing I want to do on a semi-regular basis is to connect people I know with them. Because chances are if you read this blog, you might be a bit like me. I mean, I used to be a Sevenly ambassador ( before I parted over different goals for my life and I did that because I wanted to let people know about a great product that gave back too.

So today I want to introduce you to Sweet Beginnings and beeline. Beeline, like you might guess, sells honey and honey related skin care products. The beeline products support the North Lawndale Employment Network. North Lawndale Employment Network works to employ people who struggle with finding employment due to special circumstances. One of those circumstances would be people who have been formerly incarcerated. I find this to be SO important because I feel that people who have been incarcerated can often be looked down upon in society and it can be very hard for them to find jobs. If you can’t find a job, I think it can be hard to keep yourself out of trouble because it’s easier to revert back to your old habits when you have nothing to live for. And it’s really working. Listen to this: “The recidivism rate for former Sweet Beginnings employees is below 4%, compared to the national average of 65% and the Illinois average of 55%.” (Source) I think that’s amazing success! So it’s good to know that it’s really doing something.

Here are some of the awesome things that you could get (all images taken from beeline’s website and all under $20 because I know what it’s like to be broke). Please know, I am not trying to sell you something, but rather trying to showcase products that I think you might like. And I think they would make great gifts, don’t you?

beeline chicagoland raw natural honey dipper -$9.10

beeline 6 oz. chicagoland raw natural honey- $9.00

beeline pure necessities collection – $15.60

beeline nourishing balms collection – $15.60

beeline restore & protect ultimate body balm – $14.30

I could show you products all day because there are so many more awesome, high quality products that you can find there at beeline.

Hope you have a great Tuesday!

Disclaimer: I received no compensation or anything from beeline. I was doing this all out of the goodness of my heart because I believe in their mission. I have not had contact with them or anything like that.
