The Women in Time’s Most Influential List 2011: Amy Poehler

on December 19, 2011

I’m going to do a short series now because every year Time (the magazine) names the top 100 most influential people. I thought as 2011 closes out, I’d take a look at who these women are (and also I might give my thoughts on whether or not I think they really are one of the 100 most influential people in there world).

So the first woman I’m covering is Amy Poehler and I have to say, whoever wrote that tribute to her didn’t do that great of job, or at least I didn’t like it that much. They spent half of what limited space they get to write the tribute telling bad jokes and didn’t really tell me anything about why she is influential.

But here are the facts about her:

Overall, I’m not 100 percent sure why she is so influential. There are a lot of people who know who she is, but that doesn’t necessarily mean she is influential. Additionally, I disagree with some of her personal beliefs. But if you think that she really was one of the top most 100 influential people of 2011, leave a comment below and let me know. I’m open to changing my mind. I’ll be back with another woman from Time’s top 100 most influential people of 2011 soon.
